Mary and I are thankful for all of our good friends and relatives, especially you and your employees and your family in China and the United States. Through the many years since you joined us for dinner in our Hope Valley Durham home back in the 1980s we have worked together to build closer, more mutually beneficial educational, cultural, and trade partnerships between the PRC and the USA, and a great deal of our co-operative ventures has been encouraged and organized by You and the United States and China Foundation. In my opinion China and the USA are very closely linked and have been since the early 20th Century. On this Thanksgiving Day we realize and sincerely appreciate the mutually beneficial co-operation between us and our two countries. War is an admission of failure, and mutually beneficial culture, influence, economic , and political respect, as well as mutually dependable alliances are best for all. You are always welcome.
